Vasa Ship Museum

Vasa is the only ship of the 17th century that has survived to present days. With more than 95% of the original structural elements and hundreds of carved sculptures Vasa is a unique work of art and one of the world's most prominent tourist attractions.

 

After Vasa had sank, time stopped for it. After its rise to the surface in 1961, it remains an untouched fragment of the 17th century. Each of the thousands of items found can tell something about that time.

 

In the museum many unique objects are exhibited that revived a long past century and people who lived at that time.
